As promised I have decided to post my own personal review of Joe Perry's new album Have Guitar Will Travel. Sorry it took me so long to finaly get around to making this. I learned that the cd was supposed to be released on October 6th 2009, but that was in the U.S. only. So since I live in Canada it came out two weeks later on October 20th 2009.

I really like the feeling this album gives me. The combination of blues(My favorite genre) and Rock and roll create a perfect mixture of good songs and amazing guitar. The songs are pretty long averaging about 5 to 6 minutes in length, but I guess thats what music is all about(if it sounds good extend it a bit). Starting off the album is We've Still Got a Long Way To Go. This song is the first single of the album and is a very hard hitting song. This is a very rock and rolly song. Next is Sling Shot - the first song on the album that Joe sings on. You really need to have liked Joe's last album called Joe Perry because he sings very monotone and therefore if you prefer higher voices this song you will definitely not like this song. Third place is Do You Wonder. This song was writen by Joe's wife Billie Paulet Perry. Mrs Perry is a poet so the song is very down to earth. It is about a young man who keeps returning to his girlfriend through thick and thin. Fourth is another song Perry sings called Somebodies Gonna Get(Their head kicked in tonight). This song is a cover that is fast paced. It is basically about a bar fight. My favorite song on the album is called Heaven and Hell. Don't think because of the title it will be all 'beleive in this or beleive in that.' No. This song is about thinking about what you beleive in from the knowledge you already have about the religion. sixth place is reserved for No Surprise. This is not one of my favorite songs on the album, but it is still a pretty good rocker. Seventh is for an instrumental dedicated to Les Paul called Wooden Ships. It is very awesome it doesn't have the pirate sound you are probably thinking of right now. Next is Oh Lord(21 Grams) I like the song because it is very bluesy and features everyone else that was recording singing in the background plus a women I don't remember who she is(not Joes wife). next is Scared The Cat, I don't really like this song so I won't say anything about it. Last is freedom which once again is sung by Perry. This song is a fast kick ass rocker, very awesome solo in the middle

Long Way To Go 5
Sling Shot 4
Do you Wonder 5
Somebodies Gonna Get 4
Heaven and Hell 5+
No Surprise 3
Wooden Ships 4
Oh Lord(21 Grams) 4
Scared the Cat 3
Freedom 4

The Joe Perry Project is Joe Perry(Vocals, guitars), Hagen Grohe(Vocals), David Hull(Electric Bass), Paul Santo(Keyboard and effects) and there were a large number of drummers.

I hope this short stub about the album will encourage you to buy it.

Joe perry's new album

Well everyone Joe Perry, or should I say, The Joe Perry Project is on the road to releasing a brand new album titled "Joe Perry... Have Guitar Will Travel" set to be released on October 13th, right after Thanks Giving if your a fellow Canuk. I will be rating all the songs on a 1-10 scale basis. I may be a tiny bit Biased due to the fact that Joe is my Favorite guitarist and Aerosmith is my favorite band. He is going to be releasing a single soon called "Long way to go" it is here on youtube.
It's pretty good, I give it a 7 out of 10, because it has good guitar and singing but Hagen's voice is a tiny bit too young. Oh well, the song really sets the bar high for Joes new album, lets all hope we are not disapointed.

Michael Jacksons 'Thriller'

Yesterday as a tribute to the king of pop I bought this album. It is actually quite good. I am an Aerosmith fan so I was a bit skeptical about buying this album but it was $20 well spent, with three really good songs beat it, thriller and Billie Jean plus a few other good tracks followed by 2008 remakes and remixes by artists like the black eyed peas, Akon and Kanye west the album proved to be worth it. I this version has a DVD with it as well featuring the music videos Billie Jean, Beat it and Thriller plus a live performance of Billie Jean at Motown 25. I recommend this album to anyone, even if you are really into screamo emo music this album is still great.

first A380 in Toronto

Today I witnessed an amazing event in Canadian history when the giant Airbus A380 landed at Toronto's Pearson international airport. We all anticipated too soon, however, when a KLM 747-400 landed three planes before it. The former queen of the skies led us all to beleive that it was the A380 as it arrived from Amsterdam. The A380 now lands every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Star trek pwnd

Yes, these two gentlemen may not look exactly like our favorite sci-fi "twins" from the jaw dropping, world changing series of the 60's but they are awfully alike. Chris pine plays James T. Kirk just as well as William Shatner. They even look awfully alike to.

What made this movie even more fun was how they used all of the same punch lines, catch phrases, actions and styles the old characters had. A good example is Kirk sleeping with a green chick, calling doctor McCoy "bones" and well even SPOILER ALERT the old Spock, Leonard nimoy as the original Spock. The animation of the enterprise is amazing.

This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat, waiting for more, even holding in the urge to use the bathroom not to miss a bit. The movie ended with a perfect ending that could lead into a sequel, or even a new TV series.

No Star Trek isn't dead, it is very alive, even for those who are asking "What is Star Trek". You will all be amazed at the high quality of animation, action, suspence, and violence.

but one thing thats messed up is that Spock is way to emotional.

My book so far

hello everyone, well I've began writing my book, it's really exciting.

here is a run down of the book so far.

The main character is serving with the Canadian Armed Forces in Afghanistan. They capture Osama bin Laden and the soldiers that are posted there(Including the main character) are sent home. The main character(Jim) meets with his best friend (Me) and they go to dinner with my girlfriend and her friend. Jim and her end up dating. One month later they are sent to Russia to be peacekeepers in a new conflict between Russia and China. China massacred hundreds of innocent people. Brandon signed up to be a fighter pilot and is using a newly released Arrow 2(but thats later) now he's just flying an AWACS E3 over the combat zone. 5 months pass and the war takes a terrible turn when China attacks the only peacekeepers in the area. Canada then declares war on China, followed by the U.S. for their own reasons(You have to buy the book to find out). Currently Canada and her allies are attacking China occupied Russia, which will eventually lead to the fall of the Chinese communists. I attacked the Chinese coast with my wing man to destroy enemy nuclear warhead launchers. We will be liberating China soon.

possible books related to this war:
The United States war on China based in Hong Kong
The rebellion against the Chinese empire
Germany's war on China
Russia's war on Chine(the current book just touches base on the Russian war)
a sequel to the current book
The invasion of Germany near the end of this book(would be an American Invasion)
An alternate ending book (Canada would still win but with different results to the end)

Why twilight sucks

1) when the main character is running he isn't touching the ground(bad animation)
2) when he is climbing the tree he isn't touching it(again bad animation
3) the fact that everyone is getting so into it is really upsetting.
4) the fact that people say it's the best movie ever is not convincing(the Titanic, according to box office sales, is a better movie)
5) nothing like the book, to much taken out

Beat GH:A on expert

well I finally beat Guitar Hero Aerosmith on expert yesterday, I also got the achievement for buying all of the guitars from the vault, I would only recommend this game to Aerosmith lovers or people who play games for achievements. Being an Aero lover myself the game is practically heaven. Aerosmith is going on tour this summer you can find out were at Aerosmith.com.

beat guitar hero Aerosmith on hard

today I beat my favorite game Guitar hero Aerosmith on hard for the PS2. I love the game and the characters look ok, but it's better on the 360. Now I must make sure all songs have 5 stars to unlock a guitar and then I will progress to expert, wish me luck
